ORELOGY is in the process of developing a number of unique software applications. The development focus is within those fields that ORELOGY personnel have specific or unique knowledge and experience.
Geotechnical Modelling
ORELOGY are in the process of developing a suite of geotechnical modelling software. WedgeStat V1.0 has been developed to address some of the shortcoming of existing geotechnical analysis software, specifically the analysis of random joints. Module 1 is available to download and purchase now, while Module 2 is currently in development. Module 2 will not only incorporate enhanced shear strength estimation techniques but will also contain functionality not currently available in rival software packages. This will include utilities such as spatial 3D correlation of joints and joint length distribution functions. The techniques on which the software is based were developed by ORELOGY personnel in response to some unique geotechnical issues encountered while working on site.
Customised Add-ons for existing software
ORELOGY personnel have considerable experience in creating site specific solutions for their clients. Wherever possible ORELOGY endeavour to make the resulting system as generic as possible so that it can be applied to future projects with minimum modification. This has led to the development of MSSP Report Manger V1.0 which is currently available for download and purchase. This tool allows the user to easily and accurately summarising the output from the MineSight® Strategic Planner. MSSP, affectionately known as "821" by MineSight® users, produces a substantial and detailed report file which can subsequently be very difficult and time consuming to accumulate into an understandable summary, especially utilising a traditional spreadsheet approach. MSSP Report Manger V1.0 utilises ACCESS database functionality to simplify summarising this output and ensure it is error free.
Mining Cost Modelling
CostSum V1.0 is currently in development. This model will allow the user to build up a definitive, transparent and auditable set of mining costs within a spreadsheet based environment. It will allow for the calculation of equipement specific costs on a unit by unit, period by period basis utilising incremental Life Cycle Cost type data. These costs can then provide the basis for fleet optimisation, sensitivity analysis, cost modelling, reconciliation, budgeting etc.
Mine Scheduling
Given ORELOGY's focus on mine planning in general and scheduling in particular, one of ORELOGY's long term goals is to develop a simple and user friendly scheduling tool. The intention is to develop a product that can utilise the block model of any mining software package, be set-up using a very intuitive graphical interface, quickly produce a schedule and generate simple, customisable reports. OVERVIEW
Often, when analysing rock fabric one finds a high percentage of joints do not cluster in distinct sets (i.e. they are randomly oriented). When using kinematic stability analyses to identify potential wedge and planar failure mechanisms, it is still common practice to only consider the geo....
