Why evORElution?

evORElution is a “best of breed”  Open Pit Mine Scheduling Solution that quickly produces multiple scheduling scenarios for all phases of the Mine Scheduling Lifecycle (MSL), from strategic planning through medium term and onto short term scheduling, with a single data set.

 By delivering a greater selection of optimised scheduling scenarios in quick time, mine planners are able to make more informed decisions and to maximize cash flow.

evORElution has been  developed
by Mining Engineers for Mining Engineers.

evORElution is a stand-alone solution that is truly independent of all other general mine planning systems and  through multi-variable settings and block-by-block processing “quickly delivers” open pit mine planners with “a range of scheduling scenarios” to analyse and consider.

evORElution can schedule by  either:

  • Using one model with multiple design stages.
  • On a regional scale, treating multiple models, with multiple design phases, as a single target.
  • On a regional scale, treating multiple models, with multiple design phases, defined as multiple targets.

evORElution utilises genetic, or evolutionary algorithms, a process that applies the concepts of Darwinian theory “ survival of the fittest”  to produce a range of viable schedule solutions.

To ensure evORElution was developed using the latest algorithm trends, evORElution engaged Professor Kalyanmoy Deb, the world’s pre-eminent leader in genetic algorithms, as a sounding board to verify all mathematical calculations.
