Business Drivers

Minimising costs and cash flow management are two high priority areas for an operating mine, so in developing evORElution, ORElogy has delivered a solution that revolutionises the function of mine scheduling  to improve cost control and cash-flow management of an operating mine, something that is especially important for smaller miners.

Mine planners need to have:

  • Data Confidence - The mine planner needs to have confidence in the information provided, so they can make crucial decisions related to bringing grade forward, pushing waste out, chasing a blend, minimising capital expenditure or any number of alternatives.
  • Timely Information- Produce planning schedule options in a time frame that allows adequate consideration and planning.
  • Multiple Planning Scenarios: Having the ability to consider multiple scheduling scenarios is important, and currently very time consuming to achieve, if it is achieved at all.
  • Planning Visibility - Greater planning visibility by being able to consider multiple scenarios, which in turn reduces surprises and operational risk.
  • Analysis Time - Mine planners want to spend more time analysing data rather than trying to drive software. They would also like to be able to utilise a single source of data for the Mine Scheduling Lifecycle (MSL), without having to compromise data accuracy/quality.
  • Implementation Streamlining- Minimise system implementation times. Ensure hardware is capable of running software and become self reliant.
  • Minimisation of  IT Support and Maintenance – Constantly having to ensure software and hardware compatibility has always been a major problem. Organisations would like to be able to streamline and automate this process Software upgrades (the latest release) can be a problem, is there an easy way?
